查了下，原来Elijah这个名字和Noah一样，也是出自《圣经》...囧

另，不太希望媒体用小索来对比小小...orz

Solskjaer so content with Reds

WHEN Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fleetingly considered leaving Manchester United, he quickly asked himself 'Why?', which probably explains how he ended up spending the best years of his career at Old Trafford.

The United fans get their chance to honour the 1999 Champions League Final hero on August 2, when he hopes to take the field for one last time in his testimonial with Espanyol at Old Trafford.

It will be the best way to say goodbye after a playing career that was ended by a long-term knee injury in September, although Solskjaer remains very much at the heart of United, taking on reserve team coaching duties from the start of next season.

Solskjaer is too much of a diplomat to offer any assessment of Cristiano Ronaldo's current situation, or even compare the winger's situation with that of his own.

But the Norwegian's view of his own time at United makes interesting reading, particularly as his own status is now secure as opposed to Ronaldo, who is still writing his and, given some of his recent pronouncements, is starting to be undermined.

"I never fancied going," he said.

Issue

"The only time it was even an issue was when the club accepted a bid for me from Tottenham in 1998.

"I went to see the gaffer but he said 'I didn't accept it, I want you here and you will play a big part in my squad'. I just thought that is good enough for me I will stay.

"My agent was not very happy with me because I was so stubborn but nowadays even he admits I was right.

"The thing is, Manchester United always fitted me quite well. And I will be remembered as an important member of the team during a period when Manchester United has been very successful.

"I can see now that I will always be in the history books. That makes me very proud."

The way Ronaldo is handling himself would make no-one proud given a simple statement that he is going nowhere would put an end to all the talk.

United officials, who continue to insist they will not sell, either to Real Madrid or anyone else, are becoming bored by the whole saga, simply laughing off the latest claim, namely that Sir Alex Ferguson has said he will quit if the winger is sold.

Tiresome

"It is absolute nonsense," said a spokesman.

"It is simply tiresome. We are not selling Cristiano Ronaldo."

Certainly they have little to fear from Solskjaer, who neatly side-stepped an invitation to get involved in the continuing debate.

"I have an opinion on Cristiano but it is not my business to talk in public about it," declared the 35-year-old.

Maybe Ronaldo might learn a lesson in humility from Solskjaer though. This, after all, is the man who scored possibly the most dramatic goal in Champions League history, became a legend after leaving the relative obscurity of Molde in Norway yet never made outrageous wage claims or allowed his fame and talent to stop him from being a thoroughly decent human being.

"I suppose I was a different player," he said.

"I just felt very content; in my life, my career and my personal life. I made friends in the dressing room. I had a good time. I cannot complain."

He was also amazingly loyal, to his roots, his family and United. And Solskjaer was not the first and neither will he be the last to find out that, as far as Ferguson is concerned, loyalty is a two-way street.

"I have always had a good relationship with the gaffer," he said.

"We trusted each other and knew we would be loyal to each other.

"When I needed to play more games suddenly he put me in for a few on the trot. I could have gone somewhere else but I found my place here. I loved it and I still do."

It is why, despite the birth of his third child Elijah two weeks ago he put in a personal appearance at Old Trafford last week to sell tickets for the testimonial, part of the proceeds for which will go towards Unicef-backed school building projects in Africa.

"I always say football is the most important thing that is not important in life," he said.

"As a footballer, you can create memories and happiness. If you build a school you can help change lives."
